11500Today, September 4, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the construction site of the Tashkent-Sharqiy airport. This was reported by the President's press service.
The head of state first inspected the 4-kilometer runway. A presentation was given on the exterior and interior designs of the terminals. Mirziyoyev emphasized that the facades of the buildings should reflect a national design and more emphasis should be placed on using warm colors in the finishing and furnishing. He stressed the importance of ensuring all necessary facilities are in place to accommodate high-ranking guests.
In addition, instructions were provided regarding the landscaping of the complexes around the airport, which is adjacent to the "New Uzbekistan" park and the Olympic Village.
For context, the airport is capable of receiving even the largest aircraft. Currently, two terminals, aprons, and hangars are being constructed for high-ranking guests and business aviation. The airport will be equipped with modern ICAO III-A class radio and meteorological equipment, ensuring safe takeoff and landing even in adverse weather conditions.
It should be noted that earlier, Mirziyoyev initiated the construction of a gas-chemical complex, a solar power plant, and an international airport in Bukhara.
