The discussions focused on expanding multifaceted cooperation and fostering a practical partnership between Uzbekistan and Slovenia, particularly in the areas of trade, economics, and investment.

The fruitful outcomes of the high-level talks were highly appreciated by both sides.

Emphasis was placed on intensifying joint efforts in trade, investment, and economic cooperation. It was noted that the upcoming business forum, organized as part of the visit, would serve as an effective platform for establishing new connections and promoting joint projects.

The two sides considered measures to increase bilateral trade turnover to 500 million euros by boosting the exchange of high-demand goods.

Additionally, the leaders agreed to establish a permanent expert group and develop the necessary legal and regulatory frameworks to facilitate systematic cooperation in the field of labor migration.

They also reached an agreement to explore the possibility of launching direct flights between the two countries and utilizing the infrastructure of Slovenia’s Port of Koper to expand Uzbek access to European Union markets.

Cultural and humanitarian exchange was another key topic on the agenda. Special interest was expressed in Slovenia’s experience in developing ecological tourism, especially in mountain and rural regions.

The importance of launching joint educational programs was emphasized, including plans to organize a Youth Innovation Forum in Tashkent. The sides also agreed to hold mutual cultural days and an Uzbek film week in Ljubljana next year.

To further promote the areas of cooperation identified during the talks, it was agreed to convene the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in Ljubljana this July.

In addition, the governments of both countries will adopt a comprehensive "roadmap" to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the agreements and memorandums signed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President Mirziyoyev invited Prime Minister Robert Golob to visit Uzbekistan at a time of his convenience.
