Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences on the death of Senator Enakhon Siddikova

As we previously reported, a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the national poet of Uzbekistan, Enakhon Siddikova, died on 13 January this year.  President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences on the death of the senator.  This was reported by the President’s press service.

“Uzbek literature and culture have suffered a severe loss.  The people’s poet of Uzbekistan, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Enakhon Siddikova died on 13 January this year at the age of 68.

Enakhon Siddikova was born on 28 August 1954, in Altiariq district of Fergana region.  In 1976, she graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Fergana State Pedagogical Institute (now Fergana State University).

She started her career as a teacher in 1976, working as a teacher of Uzbek language and literature, and as a school director in schools in Altiariq and Fergana districts.  For many years, she worked in responsible positions in the administrations of Fergana district and Fergana region, and was active in improving the living and working conditions of women, social protection of family, motherhood and childhood, and education of a well-rounded generation.

She was also known as a talented poetess and a passionate public figure.  “Black Sparrows”, “Konglim Ufqlari”, “The World of Words”, “Ezozli”, which are the product of her many years of creative research, skillfully glorify her love and loyalty to ancient values.  Dozens of her works, such as “Women’s”, “Song about Mother”, “A flower that bloomed in the barrens” won a worthy place in the hearts of readers.

From 2001 to the present, Enakhon Siddikova worked as the head of the Fergana region branch of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan.  She mentored hundreds of young people and took the initiative in realizing their potential.

In the report, it was emphasized that Enakhon Siddiqova showed zeal in establishing a creative school named after the Hero of Uzbekistan, Uzbek poet Erkin Vahidov in Fergana region.

Since 2015, as a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, she made a great contribution to the development and implementation of important laws necessary for the development of the country.

Enakhon Siddiqova was awarded the honorary title of “People’s Poet of Uzbekistan”, “Honor of the Country” and “Dostlik” orders.

“The memory of Enakhon Siddikova, a well-known artist, a kind teacher, a sincere and humble person, will always remain in our hearts,” the message said.
