Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrives in Mongolia with First Lady

On June 24, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Mongolia, accompanied by his wife on an official state visit, according to the presidential press service.

The visit is taking place at the invitation of the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.

President Mirziyoyev was welcomed at Buyant-Ukhaa Airport by Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs Batmunkh Batsetseg and other senior officials.

In honor of the high-level guests, an honor guard was formed at the airport, which was adorned with the national flags of both countries.

According to the official visit program, high-level Uzbek-Mongolian talks are scheduled to take place today.

As previously reported, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is paying a state visit to Mongolia on June 24–25. This marks the first high-level visit between Uzbekistan and Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. The visit is reciprocal, following the official visit of the Mongolian president to Uzbekistan in 2024. During that meeting, Presidents Mirziyoyev and Khurelsukh signed 14 agreements and bilateral documents aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
