Mirziyoyev congratulates Putin on Russia Day

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on June 11, the press service of the Uzbek leader reported.

At the beginning of the conversation, President Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated President Putin and the people of Russia on the occasion of the upcoming national holiday — Russia Day.

The two leaders discussed the further strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Russia. They reviewed the progress of multifaceted cooperation, particularly in the context of implementing agreements reached during high-level meetings.

Special attention was given to joint efforts aimed at sustaining the pace of mutual trade and advancing industrial cooperation projects.

The presidents also emphasized the importance of continued interregional exchanges and practical cooperation between the regions of both countries.

It was noted with satisfaction that cultural events are being held regularly in both Uzbekistan and Russia, contributing to stronger people-to-people ties.

It is worth mentioning that President Mirziyoyev and President Putin last held a telephone conversation on May 3, during which they discussed key aspects of the bilateral strategic partnership and alliance.
