The President of Uzbekistan visits to Pakistan

On 3 March, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, left on a state visit to Pakistan at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Imran Khan.
During the negotiations in Tashkent in July 2021, relations between the two countries reached the level of strategic partnership. The current visit will focus on strengthening multifaceted cooperation and developing practical partnerships in the areas of trade, investment, industrial cooperation, transport, logistics, infrastructure, and tourism.
The parties will also exchange views on international and regional issues. Following the talks, a joint declaration and a number of documents are expected to be adopted.
