Mirziyoyev concludes working visit to Astana

The working visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Republic of Kazakhstan has officially concluded, according to the Presidential Press Service.

On May 30, during the "Central Asia–Italy" summit, President Mirziyoyev presented a series of significant proposals and initiatives aimed at deepening multifaceted practical cooperation between the countries of the region and Italy. A Joint Statement was adopted at the conclusion of the event.

President Mirziyoyev was seen off at the airport by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin, along with other high-ranking officials. The Head of State then departed for Tashkent.

The summit, chaired by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, was attended by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

As part of the outcomes of the summit, participants approved a proposal to hold the next "Central Asia–Italy" summit in the Kyrgyz Republic in 2027. Additionally, a proposal was endorsed to organize the fourth conference of foreign ministers in Italy in the spring of 2026.
