Mirziyoyev to visit Mongolia on June 24–25

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official state visit to Mongolia on June 24–25. The visit was reported by the Mongolian National News Agency, "Montsame".

The visit is being conducted at the invitation of Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and marks the first high-level meeting between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992.

This is a reciprocal visit, as President Khurelsukh visited Uzbekistan earlier in 2024. During that visit, the two leaders signed 14 agreements and bilateral documents.

The press service of the President of Uzbekistan has also confirmed the upcoming visit.

According to the official program, high-level bilateral meetings and negotiations are scheduled to take place in Ulaanbaatar.

Discussions will focus on the further development of friendly and practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Mongolia.

Particular attention will be given to increasing trade volume and diversifying trade items, advancing joint projects in industry, agriculture, mining, and transport, and enhancing cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

A package of new agreements is expected to be signed after the summit.
