Mirziyoyev participates in diplomatic gathering marking the WWII Victory

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held informal meetings with several heads of state in Moscow on May 8, during commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II. The meetings were reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

Among the leaders President Mirziyoyev met with were Chinese President Xi Jinping, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.






In addition to these figures, a number of other world leaders are currently in Moscow for the anniversary celebrations. They include Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, as well as the leaders of Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Cuba, Turkmenistan, Venezuela, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of the Congo, and Equatorial Guinea.
As previously reported, President Mirziyoyev arrived in Moscow on May 8 to take part in the Victory Day celebrations.
