Mirziyoyev visited the tourist center in Margilan

Today, the 2 February, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "Golden Silk Caravanserai" tourist center in Margilon.  This was reported by the Presidential Press Service.

It is noted that an ancient-style caravanserai with a total of 30 seats has been established on the second floor of this center.  In the future, the complex is expected to serve more than 10,000 tourists a year.

During the visit, the head of state thanked the artisans for their attention to nationalism and youth education.

"In today's age of high technologies, people miss such simple, friendly places.  Our grandparents created these crafts and this culture not only with their hands but with their hearts.  Once upon a time, these traditions almost disappeared.  Thank you for taking care of them.  It is necessary to promote our culture not only to foreigners, but also to instill it in our children," says Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the visit, the President supported the proposal of masters to teach national crafts in schools.  Officials were given recommendations on increasing the potential of tourism and the rational use of cinema in its promotion.

"Last year, the city of Margilan was awarded the status of "City of World Silk and Ikat Craftsmen" "Bukhara received such a status in goldsmithing and Kokan in wood carving," the report said.

It should be recalled that earlier President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the private medical center in Fergana.
