Mirziyoyev holds talks with the Prime minister of Malaysia

On July 15, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, spoke by phone with Malaysia's Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, as reported by the President's press service.

The discussion highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance multilateral cooperation between the two nations, focusing on implementing agreements made during the Malaysian Prime Minister's visit to Uzbekistan in May.

"The inaugural meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation took place successfully in Putrajaya on May 29. Additionally, a council for Uzbekistan-Malaysia business cooperation has been formed," the report stated.

Moreover, the conversation emphasized the promotion of collaborative projects among top companies in various sectors, including green energy, petrochemicals, and electrical engineering. They also discussed implementing joint programs for humanitarian exchanges and pilgrimage tourism.

They also discussed current international and regional issues and planned future high-level events.

It's worth noting that on July 9, Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov, welcomed Malaysia's Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, in Kuala Lumpur.
