The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has embarked on an official visit to Kuwait today, February 17, at the invitation of the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mish'al al-Sabah. This was confirmed by the press service of the President.
During the visit, high-level negotiations and several business and cultural events are scheduled to take place in Al-Kuwait.
The summit's agenda is expected to focus on the further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Kuwaiti-friendly and multifaceted partnership relations. The discussions will cover expanding cooperation in key areas such as trade, innovation, investment, finance, "green" energy, industrial cooperation, agriculture, transport and logistics, infrastructure, urban development, healthcare, and more.
Cultural, humanitarian, and tourism exchanges will also be discussed. Additionally, President Mirziyoyev and the Emir of Kuwait will address current international and regional political issues.
Several joint documents and agreements are anticipated to be signed as a result of the talks.
It is worth noting that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid an official visit to Malaysia on February 4-5, where he was met with high respect, and Malaysian officials departed from strict protocol to hold warm, informal meetings with the Uzbek President.
