Mirziyoyev meets Kuwaiti Crown Prince: New initiatives for bilateral cooperation

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Sabah, on February 18 during his visit to Al-Kuwait, according to the President's press service.  

The meeting focused on enhancing and deepening friendly and comprehensive partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Kuwait. President Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality and special attention extended by the Crown Prince.  

It was noted that the high-level talks held the previous day, along with productive meetings with government officials and leading companies, would serve as a solid foundation for expanding multifaceted Uzbek-Kuwaiti relations.  

Both sides agreed to maintain close dialogue and high-level exchanges. They also decided to establish a platform to attract investments and implement joint projects in various sectors, including the agro-industrial complex, transport and logistics, healthcare, education, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, and more.  

Particular attention was given to mutual support for initiatives within the framework of the “Central Asia - Gulf Cooperation Council” dialogue.  

Earlier, President Mirziyoyev arrived in Kuwait on an official visit on February 17 at the invitation of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Sabah. During his visit, he held a private meeting and official talks with the Emir at the “Al-Bayan” Palace in Kuwait City. A solemn reception was also held in his honor, attended by heads of diplomatic missions in Kuwait. Additionally, Mirziyoyev met with a delegation led by the Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Sabah.
