Mirziyoyev defined the work to be done in 5 sectors for the development of Kashkadarya

Today, 25 October, under the chairmanship of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a video selector meeting dedicated to the socio-economic development of Kashkadarya is being held.

First of all, the head of state defined the goals and tasks to be achieved in the region in five spheres - entrepreneurship, industry, agriculture, drinking water supply, and social sphere. Including:

• it is necessary to create 207,000 jobs in the next year through the development of entrepreneurship and service provision in the region;

• it is possible to implement 960 projects in the industry and employ 20,000 people;

• It is possible to exploit 22 mines and produce construction materials that are in high demand;

• to increase the level of deep processing of cotton from 32% to 56%, it is necessary to complete 12 projects worth 2 trillion soms by clusters;

• it is necessary to establish industrial cooperation with large enterprises in the chemical, oil-gas, and energy system and implement 65 localization projects;

• Improve water supply on 18,000 hectares, produce an additional 90 billion soms worth of produce, introduce water-saving technologies on 66,000 hectares and save 300 million cubic meters of water, 10,500 hectares of cotton and grain area due to reduction, there is a possibility to employ 32 thousand families;

• Centralized clean drinking water supply in the region should be increased to 60% next year.
