Mirziyoyev visits the INNOPROM exhibition in Tashkent to strengthen international cooperation

3300The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the fifth international industrial exhibition "INNOPROM. Central Asia," which opened in Tashkent on April 28. This was reported by the press service of the President.
The exhibition is being held at the "Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan" complex, covering more than 18 thousand square meters. Over 10 thousand delegates from Russia, neighboring Central Asian countries, China, India, and other nations are participating.
The exhibition showcases technological solutions, modern equipment, and finished industrial products from leading enterprises in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, metallurgy, the chemical industry, transport, construction, IT, and other sectors.
While inspecting the pavilions and expositions, the head of state highlighted the significant potential for economic cooperation and the excellent opportunities for developing new business ideas.
It was emphasized that the forum would provide momentum for launching new major projects, help develop long-term partnership relations, and expand interregional cooperation.
As part of the event, the President of Uzbekistan met with a delegation led by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov.
The head of the Russian delegation conveyed to Shavkat Mirziyoyev the greetings and best wishes of Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin.
They discussed the implementation of agreements and contracts reached during the state visit of the Russian Federation President to Uzbekistan in May of the previous year.
The trade turnover growth rate is being maintained, with important cooperation projects actively involving the regions of both countries.
The meeting emphasized the importance of expanding trade and economic cooperation, promoting cooperation projects and programs, and developing mutually agreed solutions through the INNOPROM forum.
During a meeting with the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, the two sides discussed expanding industrial cooperation and strengthening humanitarian exchanges between leading enterprises.
They agreed to continue intensive dialogue and promote joint projects in sectors such as oil and gas, chemical, transport, tourism, and others, including through industrial zones in the regions of Uzbekistan.
The head of state also participated in a roundtable discussion, where the heads of regions and leading companies from both countries presented specific plans for implementing cooperation projects.
