Mirziyoyev meets with the chairman of Gazprom Neft

On May 13, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Board of the Russian energy company Gazprom Neft, who is visiting Tashkent to participate in the international forum "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan". The meeting was reported by the press service of the President.

During the talks, both sides discussed the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with Gazprom Neft, a key player in Russia's fuel and energy sector. The discussions focused on opportunities for partnership in the supply of petroleum products, the development of hard-to-extract oil fields, and the digitalization of the industry.

It is worth noting that during a press conference on April 23, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced new infrastructure projects following his visit to Uzbekistan. These projects aim to double the volume of gas supplies from Russia to Uzbekistan.
