Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences to Erdogan

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a letter of condolence to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in connection with the explosion that killed 6 people in Istanbul's Beyogli district yesterday, 13 November.  Sherzod Asadov, press secretary of the head of Uzbekistan, provides information about this.

"President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent his condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in connection with the death and serious injuries of many people as a result of the explosion that occurred on Istiklal Street in Beyoglu district of Istanbul, Turkey.

"The head of state wished consolation and comfort to the family members and relatives of the deceased, and a speedy recovery to the injured," Asadov said in his statement.

It should be remembered that yesterday afternoon, 13 November, a powerful explosion occurred on the famous and crowded Istiklal street in Istanbul's Beyoğli district.  According to official information, six people were killed and more than 80 were injured as a result of the explosion. The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, said earlier that there was a trace of terrorism in the incident.  Later, the vice president of the republic, Fuat Oktay, said that the explosive device was set off by a woman.
