Mirziyoyev participates in the BRICS reception ceremony

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the reception ceremony for the leaders of delegations participating in the BRICS summit in Kazan, as reported by the President's press service.

At the "Kazan Expo" International Exhibition Center, President Vladimir Putin of Russia welcomed Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The ceremony was also attended by heads of state and government from various countries, as well as leaders of international and regional organizations.

After the event, a formal reception was held.

Today, October 24, the leader of Uzbekistan will deliver a speech at the plenary session of the summit in the "BRICS Plus" format.

It is worth recalling that on October 23, as part of his visit to Kazan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the meeting, the parties discussed the further expansion of Uzbekistan-India strategic partnership relations and multilateral cooperation.

The head of state also met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the BRICS summit. The discussions focused on key issues related to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey. The two leaders emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation across political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian fields.
