Mirziyoyev went to a district where there was no industry at all

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev started his visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan at a textile enterprise in the Kegeili district.  This was reported by the Presidential Press Service. 

It is noted that there was no industry in this district before.  As a result of the work on the structural transformation of the economy, as a result of interregional cooperation, three projects were launched in the district together with Andijan entrepreneurs. 

This textile enterprise, visited by the President, can produce more than 3 million items of knitwear per year.  For this, modern equipment from Germany, Japan, and Turkey was installed and 500 jobs were created.  It is planned to export products worth 6 million dollars per year. 

It was reported that the head of state inspected the work process at the enterprise and talked with working women.  Also, Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of opening such new enterprises in remote areas and providing employment to women and gave instructions to the officials to continue this. 

An educational center for professional retraining has been established in the enterprise itself.
