Mirziyoyev signed a decision to help businessmen suffering from the anomalous cold weather

Credit, tax, customs, and other payments will be granted to entrepreneurs who are experiencing difficulties because of the severely cold weather.  This was announced in the President's decision "On measures to support business entities to reduce the negative impact of a sharp drop in air temperature on the economy."

According to the decision, loan payments of 4.7 trillion soms due between January-March from a thousand small and medium-sized entrepreneurs will be extended until 1 June.  Also, 9,000 entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pay their tax debt of 2 trillion soms in installments by 1 July without interest, additional collateral, and penalty.

In addition, the document envisages the following relief for entrepreneurs:

• 8 trillion soms of credit will be allocated to 545 industrial enterprises with reduced capacity for production recovery and working capital;

• loans are allocated for the repair of faulty equipment, for which up to 2.5 billion soms are guaranteed and 4.5% of the loan rate is reimbursed;

• The rent of state property for 27 thousand entrepreneurs will not change until 1 April and it will be permitted to pay in installments (52 billion soms will remain with entrepreneurs);

• payments, interest, and "penalties" for entrepreneurs who bought state property will be suspended until 1 April;

• Entrepreneurs are given a 10 percent property tax discount for each upper floor of industrial buildings.
