Mirziyoyev awards two Russian artists

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has awarded People's Artists of the Russian Federation Sergey Bezrukov and Andris Liepa with the "Friendship" Order of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The announcement was made on November 18, by the President's press service.

Sergey Vitalevich Bezrukov, the artistic director of the Moscow Drama Theater and a celebrated theater and film actor, and Andris Marisovich Liepa, a renowned ballet artist and director, received the honor in recognition of their significant contributions.

The award highlights their efforts in fostering a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia and acknowledges their role in strengthening traditional ties of friendship and solidarity between the two nations. Their exceptional talent and dedication, particularly in cinema, theater, and the arts, have significantly enriched cultural and spiritual values and promoted cultural cooperation.

Notably, earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin also awarded People's Artists of Uzbekistan Farrukh Zakirov and Sevara Nazarkhan with the Russian Order of "Friendship."
