Mirziyoyev proposes AI cooperation with UAE Minister

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the United Arab Emirates Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Omar bin Sultan al-Ulama, during his visit to Abu Dhabi, according to the presidential press service.

The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including Thomas Pramotedam, CEO of Presight; Magjan Kenesbay, CEO of AIQ; Hassan al-Naqbi, CEO of Khazna; and Eric Singh, President of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.

During the discussion, both sides explored opportunities to expand strategic partnerships with Emirati companies to develop and implement advanced technologies across various sectors.

Agreements were reached to enhance cooperation in the field of generative artificial intelligence, particularly in utilizing "big language models" for the energy sector and establishing a big data processing center in Tashkent.

Special emphasis was placed on strengthening ties with the Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. The President proposed launching a student training program and developing a "roadmap" for cultivating highly skilled professionals in this area.

The meeting also covered plans for jointly launching research laboratories, creating technological clusters, and introducing innovative solutions for contactless payment transactions.

It is also noteworthy that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week summit on January 14. In his speech, he outlined his vision to establish Central Asia as a hub for "clean energy" initiatives.
