Transformer catches fire in Mirobod

A fire broke out at a transformer point on Banakotiy Street in Mirobod district on July 3. The district administration reported this.

It was reported that the fire occurred at transformer point No. 23-23, located at 198 Banakotiy Street in Mirobod district, due to a short circuit in a high-voltage cable.

As a result of the incident, a 400/6 kV transformer was damaged and put out of operation.

According to reports, specialists from the district electric networks enterprise are currently carrying out emergency restoration work. In particular, necessary measures are being taken to install a new transformer in place of the faulty one and fully restore electricity supply.

The district administration said electricity supply is planned to be fully restored by this evening.

Earlier, it was reported that a transformer had caught fire inside a substation in the Olmazor district of Tashkent.
