Previously, it was reported that the Mirobod district court in Tashkent accused an Uzbek individual of disobeying the legal requirements of Uzbekistan’s internal affairs authorities during his stay in Russia, sentencing him to 15 days in prison. The Supreme Council of Judges has responded to this situation.

On May 17, the Mirobod district court reviewed the administrative offense case against U.R. and issued the appropriate punishment. However, the court decision mistakenly recorded the date of the offense as "April 16," which was identified as a technical error. This mistake was corrected by the judge immediately through an additional decision.

The case documents for the administrative offense, which occurred on May 16, were received by the court on May 17. Judge S. Khojamqulova was assigned to the case through the court’s electronic distribution system.

"This process is fully digitized, eliminating any human error in this system. It should be noted that this statement does not represent the council’s conclusion on the legality of the court decision. Legal assessment of court decisions is the responsibility of the higher court," the council clarified.

Additionally, the council stated that the court’s decision remains legally binding, and since the technical error has been corrected, there is no need for a service review against the judge.

"However, the Tashkent city court has been advised to investigate the circumstances that led to this situation, which could create misperceptions about the judiciary among the public," the statement concluded.
