Reports have been circulating on social media claiming that mobile phones in Uzbekistan could be blocked due to outstanding debts to the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau (CEB). In response, the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau has commented on the matter.
According to the bureau, claims circulating on social media about the blocking of mobile phone devices belonging to individuals with outstanding debts under enforcement documents are false.
“Citizens can obtain information about debts arising from enforcement documents, as well as whether there are any restrictions on traveling abroad, through official website pages or via mobile phones,” the statement said.
For this purpose, the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau recommends using its official website, [www.mib.uz](http://www.mib.uz), as well as the mib.uz mobile applications for Android and iOS available on Google Play and the App Store.
Outstanding debts and enforcement actions related to their recovery do not affect the operation of mobile phones or other devices.
