Renowned Uzbek artist Mavluda Asalkhojaeva has announced the passing of her husband, musician Davlet Qilichev, on April 26. The singer shared the heartbreaking news on her social media account, writing:
"On April 26, my husband, Davlet Qilichev passed away from this world."
The funeral ceremony is scheduled to take place today, April 27, at Islom Ota Mosque in the afternoon.
Mavluda Asalkhojaeva met her future husband while working with the Destan ensemble in Turkmenistan, where she was sent after graduating from university. Despite rumors of their separation, Asalxo‘jayeva had previously denied such claims.
Earlier this year, on March 22, it was reported that Shahram G‘iyosov, a prominent Uzbek boxer, tragically lost his two-year-old daughter.
