10101Uzbek media football player Shakhriyor Jabborov, formerly of the Uzbek club "Unwanted Boys," is set to continue his career in Russia. The club’s press service confirmed his move to the well-known Russian media football team "Amkal".
"Welcome to our team! He is the U-20 Asian Cup champion, the best player of the Uzbek media team in the "King’s League", and one of the top scorers in Kazakhstan’s Media Football League (MFL)," "Amkal" stated in an official announcement.
Jabborov previously played professional football but tested positive for a banned substance in April 2023. Following the incident, he stepped away from professional football and shifted to the growing world of media football, where he has since made a significant impact.
This transfer is part of a broader trend of Uzbek players moving to international leagues. Recently, another Uzbek footballer playing in Russia’s professional league was loaned to an Azerbaijani club.
Jabborov’s move to "Amkal" highlights the increasing prominence of Uzbek talent in media football, a rapidly growing alternative to traditional professional leagues.
