The position of laboratory assistant in schools will be abolished, and one of the teachers of physics or chemistry will receive an additional monthly payment of 525,000 soums for taking on the role of cabinet head. This was stated in an order signed by the Minister of Preschool and School Education, along with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Employment, on August 30 of this year.
According to the order, the Minister of Preschool and School Education aims to optimize repetitive and inefficient expenses in the general secondary education sector and ensure the effective and rational use of funds allocated from the state budget. Changes and additions have been made to the model staffing structure for management, technical, service, and educational support staff of general education institutions under the Ministry of Education.
As a result, the position of laboratory assistant in schools will be eliminated, and one of the teachers of physics or chemistry will be compensated with an additional monthly payment equivalent to 50 percent of the minimum wage (525,000 soums) for serving as the head of the office.
We remind you that the Head of State previously emphasized the importance of continuously encouraging and supporting well-educated and ambitious teachers in schools. He also proposed increasing the monthly salary of teachers with the highest and first qualification categories starting in September 2025.
