School workloads have been reduced

Educational workloads have been reduced in schools in Uzbekistan.  This was determined in the amendments made to the sanitary-epidemiological norms.

Hygienic requirements for the maximum level of the weekly training load were defined as follows:

For 1st grades – classes should not be more than 4 hours a day and 2 days a week for 5 hours (physical education or light subjects – technology, visual arts, music culture, educational subjects are taught in a 5-hour school day  ).  Class hours for 1st grades should not exceed 22 hours per week.

For grades 2-4 – lessons should not be more than 4 hours a day and 4 days a week for 5 hours (in a 5-hour school day, physical education or light subjects – technology, visual arts, music culture, educational subjects will be found);

For grades 5-9 – lessons should not be more than 6 hours a day;

For grades 10-11 – lessons should not be more than 6 hours a day;

During one year, the academic week should not exceed 33 weeks for 1st grades, and 34 weeks for 2nd-11th grades.
