Former WBA professional boxing champion Isroil Madrimov believes Terence Crawford has the skills to defeat Virgil Ortiz, crediting his boxing intelligence and speed. He shared this opinion in an interview with "SecondsOut".
“Crawford is an elite fighter. He has power, boxing intelligence, and speed—all at a very high level. That’s why I believe he can defeat Ortiz,” Madrimov stated.
For reference, Isroil Madrimov and Terence Crawford faced each other on August 4, 2024, with Crawford winning by decision.
It should also be noted that on the night of February 23, at a boxing event in Saudi Arabia, Madrimov fought American Virgil Ortiz for the vacant WBC interim championship belt but ultimately lost by decision. This marked the second defeat of Madrimov’s professional career.
