Criminal group involved in packing and distributing powerful drugs was apprehended

Authorities captured a criminal group that was preparing and distributing large quantities of potent drugs in a field yard in the Bostonliq district of the Tashkent region, as reported by the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The report states that two individuals, born in 1997 and 2003, were found manually packaging these potent substances in the field yard of Bostonliq district. During a swift operation, authorities seized 13.5 kg (45,000 units) of "Pregabalin" and 20 liters (2,000 units) of "Tropicamide," along with approximately 60,000 empty capsules and vials intended for these drugs.

Additionally, two couriers, born in 1998 and 1993, were intercepted in a Nexia 3 car in the Yashnobod district of Tashkent city. They were supplying illegal drugs, and authorities found 10 units of the powerful drug "Pregabalin" near the driver.

It was revealed that the apprehended individuals were operating as "drug packers" and "suppliers" via a Telegram channel.

"A total of 13.5 kg (45,000 units) of "Pregabalin" and 20 liters (2,000 units) of "Tropicamide" were confiscated from the four individuals during the swift operation. In light of this, the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 251 of the Criminal Code, and investigations are ongoing," the report states.

It is also worth mentioning that a truck secretly transporting drugs was previously discovered in Surkhandarya.
