We are ready for the Junior World Cup – Ravshan Haydarov

Today, the 20th of May, marks the beginning of the World Championship for players under the age of 20 in Argentina.  The opening match of the competition will see the Uzbek team, led by coach Ravshan Haydarov, facing off against the host country, Argentina.

Prior to the first match of the World Cup, Uzbekistan U-20 head coach Ravshan Haydarov shared his thoughts on the upcoming game. 

We have selected those players who have performed well and have been part of the team since last year.  We have thoroughly analyzed the opponent's recent matches, studying their strengths and weaknesses.  Our preparations are in line with our analysis.  Although they are a strong opponent, we do not feel pressured by their reputation," stated Ravshan Haydarov.

The coach of Uzbekistan also revealed the team's primary objective for the championship.

"We have previously participated in world championships, which is why we have set ambitious goals for ourselves.  Additionally, we aim to surpass our previous results, with our best performance being reaching the quarter-finals.  The players are filled with enthusiasm and confidence.  I believe we are well-prepared for the Junior World Cup," Haydarov added.  

The match between Argentina and Uzbekistan will commence at 02:00 on the night of the 21st of May.
