Specifically, on a designated information portal, there were listings for 46 bottles of "Jack Daniel's Old No. 7" (USA; whiskey; 0.7 l.; priced at 335,000 soums each), 60 bottles of "Vodka Onegin" (Russia; vodka) totaling 15,410,000 soums, 24 bottles of "Hennessy VS" (France; brandy; 0.7 l.; priced at 400,000 soums each), 24 bottles of "Kingston 62 white" (Rum; 1.0 l.; priced at 350,000 soums each), 24 bottles of "Riserva Speciale Rubino" (Italy; martini; 0.7 l.; priced at 292,000 soums each), and 24 bottles of "Campari" (Italy; liqueur; 0.7 l.; priced at 370,000 soums each), totaling 8,880,000 soums. Allegedly, information about the purchase of other such "imported" alcoholic products was also shared.
The Ministry of Justice's information service responded to these claims, stating that Contract No. 57, dated February 27, 2023, made with “Camphir Distribution Co” LLC via the Republic Commodity Exchange's electronic portal, concerning the highlighted alcohol purchase issue on social media, was canceled on April 6, 2023, and no alcohol purchase took place.
Furthermore, the "Convention Center," a state institution under the Ministry of Justice, was established to enhance the efficiency of judicial bodies and institutions' operations and to improve employees' health. Alongside its designated responsibilities outlined in its charter, this institution also provides quality catering, bar, and restaurant services to local residents and foreign tourists.
For clarification, the "Convention Center," owned by the Ministry of Justice, is the "Olmos" recreation center situated in the "Khumson" neighborhood, Bostonliq district. It serves as a retreat for Ministry of Justice system employees and their families.
