Taxi driver was arrested for fleeing from a traffic patrol officer while making passengers wander in Khorezm

In the city of Urganch, Khorezm region, a taxi driver who disobeyed a traffic patrol officer's stop sign and fled with his passengers was arrested. This was reported today, May 14, by the information service of the regional DIA.

It is noted that on May 2 of this year, the driver of a Gentra car, who is engaged in piracy, violated traffic rules on Gurlan Street in Urganch city and drove on the opposite side of the road when the traffic light was red.

The traffic patrol inspector signaled him to stop. However, the driver did not comply with the legal requirement, accelerated, and headed in an unknown direction.

Passengers in the car asked the driver to let them out on the road. In a video circulated on social networks, a girl sitting in the front seat asked the driver to stop the car, and when her request was ignored, she attempted to break the window. Later, the driver left the passengers at an undisclosed location in the Yangibozor district.

Subsequently, they approached the internal affairs authorities, requesting legal action against the driver. The Khorezm region DIA clarified the driver's identity, initiated a case under several articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, and impounded the car.

The criminal court of Urganch fined the driver 12 times the amount of the basic calculation (4 million 80 thousand soums).
