It is said that 3 of the 11 men who raped a minor girl in Khorezm were arrested

In August 2022, 11 men allegedly raped a young girl born in 2006 in Yangariq district of Khorezm region.  Blogger Nikita Makarenko announced this on 1 April of this year on her social network page.

“It seems that a special team will be sent from Tashkent to Khorezm to expose a network of pedophiles.  One of my subscribers wrote that people related to the local Internal Affairs Department raped his nephew. He did not want to reveal his name, but he allowed us to give his phone number to law enforcement agencies in Tashkent,” wrote Makarenko.

On 4 April this year, the blogger said that 3 out of 11 people were arrested, with the participation of children’s ombudsman Aliya Yunusova.

“Thank you to the children’s ombudsman Aliya Yunusova.  She is the only person throughout the republic who responded to this post and wanted to protect a minor who was a rape victim in Khorezm region.  Everyone else remained silent.  “She went to Urganch, and as the victim’s aunt said, three of the 11 rapists were arrested today,” says Makarenko.

According to the girl’s aunt, no one paid attention to this incident for almost 8 months.

“In Uzbekistan, management works only at a tip of the hand.  In order to initiate a case against 11 pedophiles, first of all, this incident should be made public, someone should pay attention to it and deal with it personally.  Is this normal?  No.  Is this a disaster?” wrote Makarenko.

It should be noted that Oybek Masharipov, who worked as the head of the Khorezm Region Justice Department, Yu.Kh., head of family orphanage No. 1 in Urganch.

It was found that he colluded with, and regularly had sexual relations with the foster children of the Mercy Home, using the service home provided to him for this purpose.
