Enterprise in Khorezm illegally used electricity worth 2.2 billion sums

An LLC was found to have illegally consumed electricity valued at 2.2 billion sums in the Khorezm region. The Inspectorate for Control of the Use of Electricity, Oil Products and Gas reported the case.

During an inspection carried out by Uzenergoinspeksiya in cooperation with the Khorezm regional territorial administration and the regional Department for Combating Economic Crimes, it was discovered that electrical devices belonging to “T. Y.” LLC in the city of Urgench were connected bypassing the meter, resulting in unauthorized electricity use.

Preliminary estimates indicate that this violation caused losses of approximately 2 billion 207 million sums to the electricity supply enterprise.

Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting pre-investigation inspections.

Earlier, a stone crushing plant in the Samarkand region was uncovered for illegally using electricity worth 5.3 billion sums.
