Person was arrested in Khorezm for possessing illegal drugs worth 2.9 billion sums

Illegal drugs valued at 2.9 billion sums were discovered in the city of Urganch, Khorezm region. This was reported by the State Security Service.
It was noted that during a rapid operation conducted by the Khorezm regional department of the State Security Service, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, a citizen born in 1983 in Urganch was found to be storing 64,452 illegal drugs in his apartment for future sale.
According to the evaluation carried out by a licensed LLC, the total value of the seized drugs amounted to 2,908,608,000 sums.
As per the expert conclusion of the "Pharmaceutical Products Safety Center" under the Ministry of Health, it was determined that some of these drugs did not have conformity certificates, while others were found to be of poor quality and unusable.
A criminal case has been initiated against the individual under Article 186-3 (Fraud), Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are currently underway.
It is worth recalling that earlier in Namangan, individuals involved in organizing a hidden drug store were also arrested.
