Khusanov ranked the World’s top U-21 central defender by CIES

The International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) has ranked Uzbek footballer Abdukodir Khusanov as the world’s top central defender under the age of 21. This recognition was announced by the CIES press service.
The ranking was compiled based on data from “Wyscout,” evaluating the defensive actions of central defenders. Khusanov scored an impressive 81.8 points, securing the top position in the global ranking.
The top U-21 central defenders in the world are:
1. Abdukadir Khusanov (“Lens”) – 81.8
2. Pietro Comuzzo (“Fiorentina”) – 81.7
3. Matte Smets (“Genk”) – 79.2
4. Vitor Reis (“Palmeiras”) – 78.9
5. Christian Moscuera (“Valencia”) – 77.5
Additionally, Khusanov was named Uzbekistan’s Best Young Athlete of the Year on December 23, further cementing his rising prominence in the world of football.
