Hackers attacked and robbed an Uzbek bank

Social networks reported that a hacker attacked InFinBank and stole funds.  The bank gave official information about the situation.

It is noted that between 3-5 September of this year, a group of international financial fraudsters managed to transfer foreign currency funds from fictitious merchant services located abroad to Visa cards opened in the name of their criminal partners in InFinBank.  On the same day they cashed them at ATM systems.  Those who tried to use the cards opened them in the mobile applications of other banks, Humo and Uzcard system.

The members of the criminal group have now been identified and the suspects have been arrested.  Inquiries and investigations are conducted in cooperation with the internal affairs agencies.  Some of the illegally used and embezzled funds have been returned, while the rest are being collected.

The bank stated that the amounts reported on social media were untrue and that additional information would be provided upon completion of the inquiry, investigation and recovery.
