The head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team, Temur Kapadze, has confirmed his coaching staff ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Uzbekistan Football Association's press service announced the decision.
According to Kapadze, the current coaching staff will remain unchanged. This means the assistants of former head coach Srechko Katanec—Slovenian specialists Aleš Cech and Vlado Rodmanović—will continue in their roles.
The Uzbekistan national team is set to begin training in March as they prepare for their upcoming World Cup qualifying matches against Kyrgyzstan and Iran.
Kapadze, who took charge of the national team in January, stepped in after Katanec resigned due to health issues.
Uzbekistan will now focus on strengthening their squad and tactics as they aim to secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup.
