Cannavaro heads to Karshi

The Uzbekistan national football team’s head coach, Fabio Cannavaro, along with his coaching staff, has arrived in Karshi to observe the performances of players under consideration for the national team, the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) press service reported.

According to UFA, Cannavaro and his staff plan to attend the following Uzbek Super League matches in person:

October 16

• Nasaf – Kokand-1912

October 17

• Mash’al – Khorezm

October 18

• Dinamo – Bukhara

October 19

• Pakhtakor – Qizilqum

Since taking charge of the national team, Cannavaro has already led the squad in two friendly matches. On October 9 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan defeated Kuwait 2-0, while on October 13 in Malaysia, the team narrowly lost 1-2 to Uruguay.

Earlier reports noted that Cannavaro intends to stay in Uzbekistan for an extended period, watch Super League matches, and even brought his bicycle with him.
