7150The Migration Agency has issued a cautionary statement for Uzbek citizens currently residing or traveling in Kazakhstan, especially those moving through transit routes.
The advisory comes amid reports of deteriorating road conditions in several regions of Kazakhstan due to sudden temperature drops and adverse weather.
Authorities warn that fog, heavy rain, and icy roads could lead to challenging driving conditions in the coming weeks. Uzbek citizens are urged to exercise caution by strictly adhering to road safety rules, opting for reliable vehicles, and avoiding unnecessary long-distance travel until conditions improve.
The alert follows recent incidents attributed to the severe weather. In the Kostanai region, for example, a man went missing after venturing out to search for livestock amid freezing conditions. A coordinated search effort has been ongoing since November 5, involving rescue teams, police, local authorities, border guards, volunteers, search dogs, and drones.
Uzbek nationals in Kazakhstan are reminded to remain vigilant and to monitor the weather closely to avoid travel disruptions and ensure their safety.
