An Uzbek bus overturned in Kazakhstan. Two people were killed

Yesterday, 12 May, a passenger bus registered in Uzbekistan overturned on the 571st km of the Almaty-Tashkent highway in the Jualy district of Jambyl region of Kazakhstan.  This is reported by Казинформ.

The driver’s assistant and a passenger were killed instantly.  According to preliminary data, the accident occurred due to worsening weather conditions (rain and hail), the bus driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a moving tractor trailer on the road.

According to the Jambyl Regional Health Department, nine medical teams arrived at the scene of the accident in the Jualy district.

In connection with the accident of the passenger bus, 48 Uzbekistan citizens were admitted to the ambulance department of the Jualy District Hospital.  Of these, 38 were men, 9 were women and 1 was an infant.  There were 16 patients hospitalized, 4 in intensive care and 12 in surgery. Twelve patients remain under medical supervision in the diagnostic rooms of the reception department.

A pre-trial investigation has been initiated under Article 345 of Part 4 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (violation of traffic rules or use of vehicles, resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence by the driver).  Necessary inspections have been scheduled.
