A ceremonial welcome ceremony was held for the President of Kazakhstan

Today on the 22 December, the official welcoming ceremony of the President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, who is on a state visit to the country, was held at the International Congress Center in Tashkent.

Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kasim-Jomart Tokayev ascended the podium.  The national anthems of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were played.

After the joint photo-taking ceremony, the heads of state went to the hall intended for holding negotiations in a narrow circle.

It should be recalled that the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev visited Uzbekistan yesterday 21 December.  He was met by Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the "Tashkent" international airport.  Then, accompanied by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Tokayev went to the New Uzbekistan park.  In the evening, the heads of state planted saplings in the Garden of Veterans at the "Koksaroy" residence.
