During the discussion of the Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025,” the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Norboeva, stated that the Senate is not waiting for the law to come from the Legislative Chamber. She made this statement today, December 18, at the second plenary session of the Senate.

She noted that since July of this year, the Senate has been working with all government bodies, local councils, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, forming and implementing new approaches.

According to Norboeva, during the studies in the regions, based on direct dialogue with the population, proposals are prepared for inclusion in the state budget in August-September of each year and submitted to the government. It is based on these proposals that a total of more than 14 trillion soums of budget funds were allocated to solve about 6,000 problematic issues in the regions.

“This is for schools, kindergartens, hospitals, water, roads, and similar issues,” said the Chairman of the Senate.

Additionally, taking into account studies in the regions and appeals from the population, it is planned to allocate more than 1.7 trillion soums to 200 projects in 2025. The Chairman of the Senate noted that all of these projects have been thoroughly studied.

Let us recall that today, on December 18, the Senate approved the Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025.” According to it, the revenues of the State Budget amount to 308.5 trillion soums, and expenditures to 344.8 trillion soums. Revenues and expenditures of State Trust Funds (excluding inter-budgetary transfers) are planned to amount to 66.4 trillion soums and 62.8 trillion soums, respectively.
