The vice-rector of the Kokan Pedagogical Institute was dismissed from his post after a surveillance camera was installed in the girls’ dormitory.  This was reported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.

It is noted that the Ministry strongly condemns actions such as arbitrarily interfering in a person’s private life, trying to disclose personal information, and considers this situation to be a violation of the honor and dignity of female students.  No one believes that a person has the right to interfere with one's will and private life.

Therefore, four responsible employees who participated in the process and abused their duties, including the vice-rector, who directly participated in the incident, were released from their positions, and disciplinary measures were applied to one specialist.

“In this place, girls who were participants in the incident will be guaranteed education without pressure,” the statement of the ministry said.

It is reported that the investigation by law enforcement agencies is continuing.
