600 projects worth 400 million dollars will be launched in Uzbekistan’s agriculture industry. It was announced today, 23 January at a meeting on issues of support for cotton cultivation under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It is noted that 600 projects worth 400 million dollars will be launched this year, an additional 185,000 tons of storage and processing facilities and agricultural service centers will be established in 33 districts.

Also, at this meeting, the proposal to establish a new institute based on the experience of foreign countries in the food industry was approved.

We remind you that earlier in this meeting it was announced that 50% of the electricity used for pumping cotton fields will be covered.
