Earthquake in Kyrgyzstan felt in Uzbekistan

An earthquake that occurred in the Kyrgyz Republic was also felt in Uzbekistan, according to the Republican Center for Seismoprognostic Monitoring.

The tremor was recorded today, January 17, at 15:17 local time in Kyrgyzstan. The epicenter was located 214 kilometers southeast of Tashkent. The earthquake had a magnitude of 1.9 and a focal depth of 5 kilometers. The epicenter was in the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, at coordinates 40.13 degrees north latitude and 71.26 degrees east longitude.

In Uzbekistan, the earthquake was felt with an intensity of up to 2 points in Sokh district, located 21 kilometers from the epicenter.
