Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has dismissed Security Council Secretary Rustam Mamasadiqov following the removal of Kamchybek Tashiyev as head of the State Committee for National Security and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the presidential press service said.
“Rustam Mamasadiqov has been relieved of his duties as Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic,” the statement said.
By another presidential decree, he was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security.
As previously reported, on February 10 President Japarov dismissed State Committee for National Security head Kamchybek Tashiyev, his first deputy Kurbonbek Avazov, Cybersecurity Center Director Daniel Risaliyev and Anti-Terror Center Director Elizar Smanov.
Abdukarim Alimboyev was also removed from the post of First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security and appointed head of the State Border Service.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, who has served as head of the 9th Service and deputy chairman of the State Committee for National Security since 2020, has been appointed acting chairman of the agency.
