19-year-old fake prosecutor detained in Qibray

A criminal case has been opened against a man in Qibray district of Tashkent region who allegedly posed as a prosecutor and used a fake official identification card, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

According to the statement, on July 12, officers conducting an operational measure in Qibray district stopped a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by K.X., a 19-year-old born in 2007. To avoid legal action by traffic police officers, K.X. allegedly introduced himself as an employee of the Qibray District Prosecutor’s Office and presented a counterfeit service identification card.

During the inspection, an administrative report was drawn up against him, and the vehicle was impounded. A subsequent search of the Cobalt revealed another vehicle registration plate, bearing the number "25 C 836 AA," inside the passenger compartment.

The fake identification card and the additional pair of registration plates were seized as evidence. On July 13, a criminal case was initiated under Article 228 of the Criminal Code, Part 2(b), and Part 3, which relate to the production, forgery, sale, or use of forged documents, stamps, seals, and official forms. The investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported that an individual identified as A.A. had posed as an employee of the Prosecutor General’s Office and fraudulently obtained property belonging to several citizens.
